Tommy Clune
Tommy Long’s passion for community, sustainability, and regeneration began in primary school, where he was instilled with values like recycling and environmental stewardship. His fascination deepened in high school, particularly during a geography class when he learned about the Vietnamese effort to restore mangroves devastated by the Vietnam War. Inspired by this natural solution, he sought out brands with a socio-economic focus, such as Thank You Water, which uses profits to support clean water initiatives, and Who Gives A Crap, which donates to hygiene projects in developing countries.
At 18, Tommy encountered brands that connected commerce with environmental impact, such as wines that contribute to bee colony preservation. This led to his dream of opening a bar that exclusively featured sustainable products, transforming social drinking into an eco-friendly experience.
A pivotal moment occurred at 19 while walking along the beach, where he had an epiphany about the interconnectedness of nature, recognizing how all elements of the ecosystem are linked.
